Terms of Use
Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using the Service. By accessing or using MedHall, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
Gemini Access Is 18+ Only
Gemini-powered features on MedHall (including tool analysis, MedHall Brain, and the voice and image features) are restricted to users aged 18 or older. Before the first Gemini request, MedHall asks you to confirm that you are 18+. That confirmation is your own self-confirmation: MedHall does not verify your identity or your age and collects no personal information for it, and the Gemini API is called with your own API key from your own browser.
Service Nature
MedHall is an independent, free educational student project. It provides study tools and educational resources for students — with its strongest focus on science, health, and medical study. It is not a hospital, clinic, medical practice, healthcare provider, diagnostic service, treatment service, prescribing service, or emergency service.
Free Access
MedHall currently provides its services for free. There are no subscriptions, paid plans, user charges, or credits sold by MedHall.
Third-Party Costs
Some tools use third-party AI providers. If you use your own provider account or API key, that provider may charge you based on its own prices, usage limits, or account rules. MedHall does not control third-party billing.
Educational Purpose
The tools are designed for education, study support, revision, and general educational information. They are not a substitute for professional medical judgment.
No Medical Advice
MedHall does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, or professional healthcare. AI-generated content must not be treated as a diagnosis, treatment decision, prescription, or clinical order.
AI Limitations
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading. You must independently verify important medical information using trusted references and qualified professional guidance.
User Responsibility
You remain responsible for verifying important information; your own decisions; your API keys; your third-party accounts; your use of third-party services; lawful use of content; following academic rules; and protecting privacy and confidentiality, including not entering identifiable or confidential patient information into AI tools.
Third-Party Services
Third-party AI providers have their own policies, infrastructure, prices, and data practices. MedHall does not own or control them and is not responsible for their availability, behavior, security, or data processing.
No Accuracy Guarantee
MedHall does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, academic correctness, medical correctness, availability, uninterrupted operation, or fitness for a particular purpose. The service is provided "as is" for educational use.
Right to Modify
MedHall may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue features where legally permitted, with reasonable notice where practical.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use MedHall for unlawful activity, abuse, attacks, credential theft, exploitation, bypassing provider safeguards, unauthorized access, harmful use, or privacy violations. See the Acceptable Use Policy.
User Content
You are responsible for making sure that content you submit is lawful and that you have permission to use it. See the Copyright & User Content section.
Academic Integrity
MedHall does not encourage cheating, plagiarism, or violation of university rules. You are responsible for following the academic rules that apply to you.
Limitation of Liability
MedHall is provided as a free educational utility. AI output is not guaranteed, third-party services are outside MedHall's control, users must evaluate information independently, and MedHall does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Users are responsible for how they use generated content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and these terms do not remove any legal rights you may have.
Features Covered by These Terms
These terms also cover MedHall's newer features, including uploading your own study files or images to generate questions and quizzes, and the voice features that let you talk to the AI patient with a microphone (speech recognition) and hear replies read aloud (text-to-speech). These features are provided as free educational utilities exactly like the rest of the site, with the same no-guarantee and no-liability principles described in these terms.
Uploads and Voice Are Your Responsibility
When you upload study material or use the microphone, you remain solely responsible for the content you upload and for what you say. You must have the right to use any uploaded material, must not upload confidential patient or personal information, must not record anyone without their consent, and must accept that AI may misinterpret uploaded files or mishear spoken words.
Not an Emergency Service
MedHall is not an emergency service and must never be used for emergencies. If you or someone else has a medical emergency, call the appropriate emergency services in your country immediately. AI tools on MedHall will not present themselves as a substitute for emergency care.
Rate Limits and Service Protection
MedHall applies local usage-control limits (a daily request counter per browser and request caching) to protect the service and your provider costs. These limits may change at any time. Abuse may result in temporary restrictions. Provider-side rate limits and quotas are outside MedHall's control. Local counters are a usage-control mechanism, not a security boundary: they do not protect against determined misuse and are not described as server-enforced security.
Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the User agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MedHall and its creator(s), successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (1) the User's use of the Service; (2) any content the User submits, uploads, shares, or transmits; (3) the User's breach of these Terms or of any MedHall policy; (4) the User's violation of any law or of the rights of any third party; and (5) the User's conduct toward other users. Nothing in this clause shall limit or exclude any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, and this clause shall not apply to the extent prohibited by mandatory law applicable in the User's jurisdiction.
No Liability for User-to-User Conduct
MedHall constitutes a tool and is not a party to the interactions of its users. The User bears sole responsibility for his or her interactions with other users, . MedHall shall not be liable for the conduct, statements, files, or behavior of other users, and shall be under no obligation to moderate, monitor, or police user activity; provided, however, that MedHall may take reasonable action where legally permitted.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the MedHall policies referenced herein (including, without limitation, the Privacy Policy, the Acceptable Use Policy, and the other legal pages published on the Service), constitute the entire agreement between the User and MedHall with respect to the Service, and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or communications, whether written or oral, relating to the Service.
No Waiver
The failure or delay of MedHall in exercising or enforcing any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision, nor shall it preclude the exercise thereof at any later time.
Assignment and Transfer
The User shall not assign or transfer his or her rights or obligations under these Terms. MedHall may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms (for example, in connection with a transfer or reorganization of the project), with reasonable notice where practicable.
Survival
Provisions of these Terms which, by their nature, ought to survive termination or expiry — including, without limitation, disclaimers, the limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute resolution — shall survive any termination or expiration of these Terms.
International Use
The Service may be accessed from multiple countries. The User is responsible for compliance with the laws of his or her own jurisdiction, and the Service is not directed at, and shall not be used in, any jurisdiction where such use would be unlawful. The User shall not use the Service in violation of any export-control or sanctions laws applicable to him or her.
